When you think through the gifts you might have received in your life - flowers, hand tools, socks!!, an inheritance, a dog. Amongst all of that some last for a day other things for a few years. It’s only when you get a gift that is eternal, you are able to put everything into perspective.
Ephesians 2:8-9 says ‘For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast’. (NIV)
The older I get the more I think about the best gift I ever received - salvation. It truly is the gift that keeps on giving. Flowers, animals or financial legacy will never compare to the impact Jesus had on my life. Then once life is over, eternity only just begins, there is nothing like that gift - Praise God.

Action Point
The gift of salvation will keep on giving forever. Take time to consider how you might introduce Jesus to those around you.
