Sometimes you can be overwhelmed with thanks to God for what He’s done in our lives. Life might have been so much worse if we hadn’t made the decision for Jesus that we did.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says ‘Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus’ (NIV).
However, we started our Christian Walk, we should also consider our current situation/ Giving thanks for our health, family, work, those loved ones in our lives. Giving thanks for the house we are in, the food we eat, all adds in that feeling of a thankful heart. We so often come to God with a list of needs, it might be an idea to spend time writing down all of things we are grateful for and then pray over them just because we feel thankful to God for what He has done.
Quote A balanced relationship with God is thanking Him as much as asking Him.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you for all you have done in my life, thank you for being You, Amen.
Action Point If you have never had a prayer time where the only thing you said to God in various ways was thank you, give it a try.
