Indignation is a strong reaction to injustice, wrongdoing, or sin. It is not just anger, but a deep sense of moral outrage—something even Jesus displayed when He overturned the money changers’ tables in the temple. There are moments in life when we feel indignation, whether toward injustice or the brokenness in the world. The key is how we respond—will we let it lead us to bitterness, or will we use it to inspire change?
Ephesians 4:26 reminds us, “Be angry, and do not sin: do not let the sun go down on your wrath” (NKJV). Indignation should never lead to hatred or resentment, but rather to action rooted in righteousness. When handled correctly, it can drive us to stand up for truth, seek justice, and extend grace.
Let your heart be stirred for what is right, but always align your response with love, wisdom, and God’s will.
