Some days, the world feels too heavy, and all you want to do is curl up in bed and rest. Life can be exhausting—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. But rest isn’t weakness; even Jesus took time away to recharge. Sometimes, the best thing you can do is step back, breathe, and allow God to refresh your soul.
Matthew 11:28 reminds us, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (NIV). God doesn’t expect you to push through exhaustion; He invites you to find peace in Him. A day of rest, reflection, and prayer can bring more strength than endless striving ever could.
So, if today is a curl-up-in-bed kind of day, take it. Let your heart be still, your mind be renewed, and your spirit find comfort in God’s presence. He will meet you there. Don’t forget, take care of yourself.
Quote
Rest is not quitting; it’s trusting God to restore you.
Prayer
Lord, help me to embrace rest as a gift from You, knowing that You renew my strength. Amen.
Action Point
Take time today to rest in God’s presence—whether through prayer, worship, or simply being still.
