"Will Your Anchor Hold in the Storms of Life?" is a old yet timeless hymn, written in 1882 by Priscilla Jane Owens, reminds us that Christ is our unshakable foundation. Life’s storms will come—trials, uncertainty, and hardship—but when our anchor is secured in Him, we will not be moved. This song challenges us to ask: is our faith strong enough to hold in life’s fiercest tempests?
Hebrews 6:19 declares, “Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast” (KJV). Our hope in Christ is not fragile; it is secure, keeping us steadfast through every storm. Like an anchor grips the ocean floor, Jesus holds us firm when everything around us is shifting.
The message of this hymn still speaks today: if your anchor is Christ, no storm can pull you away. Trust Him, and you will stand firm, no matter what comes.
