Setting goals is essential for living with purpose and direction. Goals give us focus, help us prioritise what truly matters, and align our plans with God’s will. Without clear aims, it’s easy to drift through life, missing opportunities to grow and serve. By prayerfully setting goals, we honour God by stewarding the time and talents He has entrusted us with.
Proverbs 16:3 reminds us, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans” (NIV). This verse encourages us to bring our goals before God, trusting Him to guide our steps and bless our efforts when they are aligned with His purpose.
Setting goals often fuels motivation and creates opportunities to glorify God through our achievements. Reflect on your aspirations and ensure they align with God’s plan for your life. You won’t make progress if you don’t plan to have a go at goal setting today.
