Even as your body rests in sleep, your spirit remains active in its connection with God. The Holy Spirit, dwelling within us, intercedes on our behalf, carrying our deepest needs and unspoken prayers to God. This relationship reassures us that we are never disconnected from Him, even in moments of physical stillness.
Romans 8:26 reminds us, “In the same way, the Spirit also comes to help us, weak as we are. For we do not know how we ought to pray; the Spirit himself pleads with God for us in groans that words cannot express” (GNT). This highlights God's profound love and care, who understands and acts even when we are silent.
Rest, as we know it, allows the spirit of God within us to pray in faith. Trust that and know that God is at work in you. He knows your needs and is always there for you.
