In today’s fast-paced world, ultra-processed foods or ready meals can quickly become the norm, but there is great value in choosing fresh, whole foods. Preparing meals from fresh vegetables not only nurtures our bodies but honours the way God intended us to care for ourselves. By eating closer to what nature provides, we find energy, health, and a deeper connection to God’s creation.
Genesis 1:29 reminds us, “Then God said, ‘I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food’” (NIV). This verse highlights the goodness and sustenance found in God’s original design for our diet.
Making meals with fresh vegetables and whole foods doesn’t have to be complicated. Simple, nourishing choices help us avoid ultra-processed ingredients and allow us to appreciate the natural flavours and nutrients God has provided.
