Our bodies are more than just physical vessels; they are temples of the Holy Spirit. The Bible tells us, “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own” (1 Corinthians 6:19, ESV). This powerful truth calls us to respect and care for our bodies, not just for ourselves, but as an act of honouring God.
To make the best of this, we can focus on maintaining our physical health through balanced nutrition, regular exercise, and sufficient rest. Equally, nurturing our mental and spiritual well-being is essential: praying, meditating on God’s Word, and fostering relationships that encourage growth.
By treating our bodies with care and respect, we create a space where God’s Spirit can thrive, which enables us to equip ourselves to serve others, live joyfully, and walk in His purpose for us.
