00854 - The Historical Evidence Of Jesus

The historical evidence for Jesus is well-documented and supports the biblical accounts of His life and ministry. Historians such as Josephus, a Jewish historian, and Tacitus, a Roman historian, mention Jesus in their writings.

The Bible, particularly the New Testament, contains a collection of eyewitness accounts and letters that provide detailed information about Jesus’ teachings, miracles, death, and resurrection. In 1 Corinthians 15:6 (NIV), Paul writes, “After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living.” This further supports His historical existence.

Understanding all this historical evidence strengthens our faith, showing that the story of Jesus is not just a religious belief but a historical reality. It reminds us that our faith is rooted in actual events, giving us confidence in the truth of the Gospel and encouraging us to share this message with others.
