00806 - The Influence Of Communion

Communion holds huge meaning in the Christian faith, symbolising Jesus' sacrifice and our unity with Him. In Luke 22:19 (NCV), Jesus says, "This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me." This act reminds us of His love and the price He paid for our salvation, fostering a deeper connection with Him.

The influence of communion extends beyond remembrance; it nurtures our spiritual health. We affirm our faith and gratitude for Jesus' sacrifice by partaking in the bread and wine. This practice reinforces our commitment to live according to His teachings, strengthening our bond with Him and fellow believers.

Moreover, communion offers a moment of reflection and renewal. It encourages us to examine our lives, seek forgiveness, and embrace God's grace. This regular act of worship helps maintain a focused and grateful heart, enriching our spiritual journey and enhancing our relationship with God.

Quote

When we remember the sacrifice of Jesus, we acknowledge we have an eternity with Him.

Prayer

Thank You, Lord, for allowing us to remember your sacrifice and focus on Your majesty. Amen.

Action Point

A trend these days is not to have communion, yet Jesus says to do it regularly.
