In today's fast-paced world, it's easy to become consumed with investing time and energy into pursuits that yield only temporary satisfaction. Matthew 6:19-21 (MSG) challenges us with a powerful reminder: "Don’t hoard treasure down here where it gets eaten by moths and corroded by rust or—worse!—stolen by burglars. Stockpile treasure in heaven, where it’s safe from moth and rust and burglars. It’s obvious, isn’t it? The place where your treasure is, is the place you will most want to be, and end up being."
Investing in our spiritual life means prioritising time with God, engaging with His Word, cultivating a prayer life, and obeying His commands.
Are we chasing after what the world values, or are we investing in our relationship with God, which will last for eternity? Let’s ensure our hearts are rooted in the things of God, where actual value and lasting joy are found.
