Coffee With God

Updated: 5 days ago

It’s always a nice feeling when we’ve met up with a friend for a chat and a coffee, catching up on things and spoiling yourself a little. Have you ever thought about doing this with your best friend – Jesus.

Taking time out, reading a passage of scripture and meditating on it, while also having a nice coffee can enrich your life so much. The first part of James 4:8 says, ‘And when you draw close to God, God will draw close to you’ (TLB).

It takes 15 minutes to have a nice coffee. Those 15 minutes when spent reading the word, praying, thinking about a situation or circumstance, your viewpoint can radically change. When you include God in your thoughts, your decision making; when you draw close to Him, He’ll draw close to you. God will come with all of His power, with all His wisdom and all His majesty.

Quote

God often has the answer to a problem– we just don’t ask what it is.

Prayer

Lord, I want to spend more time with you, thank you that you want to spend time with me, Amen.

Action point

There is little to say other than, have a coffee with God.
